What these charts can and cannot do
- They translate a size label from one country to another by the convention that retailers use.
- They convert sizes that are lengths, such as collar, chest, waist and inseam, exactly.
- They cannot tell you how a brand cuts its sizes. For that, compare your body measurements with the chart of the brand.
How these charts are made
Length conversions use the exact factor of 2.54 cm per inch. Label conversions apply the offsets on which the retailer charts we checked agree, and the tests of this site compare the result with those charts. Each page lists its sources and the date of the last check.
